Case Finnair Oji & NAuthor
The various possibilities as well the power of the fully web based authoring tool of Nauthor was already recognized by the world wide operating airlines in 2002.
The presentation at the Star Alliance Meeting of the product developed in cooperation with Lufthansa Flight Training in Bangkok proved the ffast and flexible creation of WBT Learning content.
At the  AICC-Conference in 2003 in Miami Finnair approached INTEC to convert their existing CBT content into high performant WBT (web based) content. Evaluation other products in the market as well, Finnair decided to purchase the Nauthor solution in 2004. Within the project the first step is to convert the local available content into web based content and offer this to Finnair Clients  using the NAuthor LMS Learning management Portal provided by INTEC as a ASP (Application Service Provider) solution. The next step was to develop new coursware wihtin the NAuthor authoring solution to offer more content to the clients. INTEC provided service to FINNAIR to convert and to create content. Now the FINNAIR team is developing more and more content which is offered in their www.airlinetraining.aero portal.
The system goes on line in 2005 and proves to be a very cost effective solution.

More then 3.000 pilots and cabin crew of more then 50 clients of FINNAIR have completed their trainings since INTEC provided this platform to FINNAIR. Courseware and Content like „Winter Operations“, „Dangerous Goods“ or „RVSM“ is offered. Within this Learning Materials containing as much as 1000 interactive training pages the students prepare for their refreshing or initial exams required by the legal authorities like "FAA" of "JAA"With the last project called „CRM“ FINNAIR itselfs created a full and Complete content for "Crew Ressource Management" using Nauthor. Finnair and INTEC work sucessfully together and will enhance that offered content and the technology to present the content to the clients and users. Cooperation and the combined efforts of both companies an shows and conferences like  AICC, WATS und IATA show the close relationship in this sucessful partnership.
